SFB 1608 Consistency in the view-based development of cyber-physical systems

Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) integrate computational and physical processes in various systems such as cars, trains and airplanes. They must balance configurability, functionality, reliability and cost efficiency. The aim of this Collaborative Research Center is to develop methods for the consistency of views in CPS design in order to improve their reliability and adaptability.

SFB 1527 "Compact high-performance magnetic resonance systems" (HyPERiON)

Prof. Jan G. Korvink and his team not only want to miniaturize NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance) instruments in the HyPERiON Collaborative Research Centre, but also increase their spectroscopic performance in order to open up new possibilities for the application of NMR. In the photo, Korvink adjusts the sample head in the 500 MHz NMR magnet.

TSFB 1574 Circular factory for the eternal product

The closed-loop factory is dedicated to issues of circular production. Dismantling, the assessment of component condition and the reworking of components play an important role here. The transfer of disassembly steps from humans to robots is essential for high productivity.

Autonomous driving

With the two research vehicles Joy (left) and Carl (right), the Institute of Measurement and Control Technology is developing technologies and algorithms for driverless driving. Research focuses on the sensory detection and interpretation of the environment using AI processes and the derivation of driving maneuvers.
