The annual celebration of the KIT will take place for the first time in the new InformatiKOM I building on Adenauerring. With the two InformatiKOM buildings, the Klaus Tschira Foundation has constructed two new buildings for KIT, which were officially opened in the fall. Covering an area of more than 10,000 square meters, they now combine institutes of computer science with facilities for science communication and applied cultural studies under one roof. The focus is on exchange and encounters between science and the public.
Simultaneous translation
The program of the annual celebration will be simultaneously translated into other languages with the help of the Lecture Translator and displayed as text on any internet-enabled device. The Lecture Translator has been used successfully in lectures at KIT for several years.
Green Event BW
With Green Event BW, the Baden-Württemberg sustainability strategy has created an evaluation criterion for sustainable events. Regardless of whether it is a meeting, conference, music festival or street party, every event can be organized in such a way that the environment, resources and climate are protected and social aspects are taken into account. Even small steps can contribute to greater sustainability.
